Webex App | Add people to a space
You have the option of adding people to a space, choosing members of your organization to invite, or entering the email addresses of individuals from outside your organization that you would want to welcome. The maximum number of individuals that can be accommodated in any given area is 5,000.
Desktop
1. Navigate to the Messaging menu, pick a room, and then click the People tab.
2. Select the “Add people” option, then type the first few letters of the person’s name or email address, then choose them from the list that appears. If you have chosen someone who you do not wish to bring into the room, you can remove them from your selection by clicking their profile picture.
You have the ability to add up to thirty individuals all at once simply pasting a list of email addresses from your email client into the appropriate field. Simply highlight and copy the list of persons who will receive an email, then paste it into the section labeled “Add people to this space.”
Simply enter the person’s email address and then hit the Enter key to send them an invitation to use the Webex App. Once they have joined the Webex App, they will be able to view your space within the app.
3. To add the people you’ve selected to the space, click the Add button.
When you add someone to a space, you are able to send them a notification informing them that they have been added.
It’s possible that the area is monitored, which is why you are unable to add a new user. Inquire with a member of the Moderators list about adding them.
iOS
1. Navigate to the Messaging section, and pick a room to chat in.
2. To add new people to the space, first select People from the activity menu, then press the Add people button. You can choose the person from the list by typing the first few letters of their name or email address, and then selecting them from the list.
3. Then, select the Add option.
Android
1. Navigate to the Messaging section, and pick a room to chat in.
2. Go to the activity menu, select People from the drop-down menu, and then choose the Add People option. You can choose the person from the list by typing the first few letters of their name or email address, and then selecting them from the list.
Enter the person’s email address that you want to invite to the Webex App, and then choose it. Once they have joined the Webex App, they will be able to view your space within the app.
3. Then, touch the OK button.
When you add someone to a place, that person will be notified that they have been added to the space once you have completed the addition.
It’s possible that the place has been moderated, in which case you won’t be able to add someone. Look for the moderators on the People list, and if you find them, ask them to add the person.
Web
1. Navigate to the Messaging menu, pick a room, and then click the People tab.
2. Select the “Add people” option, then type the first few letters of the person’s name or email address, then choose them from the list that appears. If you have chosen someone who you do not wish to bring into the room, you can remove them from your selection by clicking their profile picture.
If they do not already have a Webex App account, you can invite them to create one by clicking the Invite button.
3. To add the people you’ve selected to the space, click the Add button.
When you add someone to a place, that person will be notified that they have been added to the space once you have completed the addition.
Copying and copying a list of email addresses with each address being separated by commas or semicolons allows you to add up to fifty persons at once.
