On-demand recordings in zoom App
Overview
Cloud recordings of meetings and webinars can be accessed on-demand by registering and logging in. Custom fields can be entered and approved manually or automatically for recording registration. The link to access the recording will not change, but when the on-demand option is enabled for a recording, you will be directed to a registration page instead of directly to the recording.
Prerequisites
- Cloud recording enabled on Zoom account
Making a recording on-demand
- Navigate to the Recordings section of your Zoom web portal.
- The recording that you want on demand can be accessed by clicking on the meeting topic.

- Click Share…

- Click on the On Demand (Registration Required) button to turn it on (blue).

- Afterwards, you will be able to download the recording at your leisure. The user will be required to register before they can view the recording if they select the link to view the recording.

- After registering, the user will be able to view the recording.

Changing registration settings
- Please log in to your Zoom web portal and navigate to the Recordings tab.
- Select the recording that you wish to view.

- Select Registration Settings.

- On-demand settings will be displayed.

- Approval: Choose whether you want registrants to automatically be able to view the recording after registering, or if you wish to approve registrations manually.
- Notification: When someone registers to view your recording, you can receive an email notification.
- Other options: Check if social share buttons should be displayed on the recording registration page. Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn will all have social share buttons.
- Questions: You can adjust which fields are displayed and required when someone registers to view the recording by clicking on the questions tab.
- Custom Questions: You can ask viewers custom questions when registering to view the recording.
- Click Save All when done.
When manual approval is enabled for an on-demand recording, the user will be redirected to a page that informs them that their registration information has been submitted. The link to view the recording will be sent to them via an email once their request has been approved. Their registration request will be denied if they receive an email informing them of the decision.

Viewing registrant information
- Navigate to the Recordings section on your Zoom web portal.
- Select the recording topic.

- Click the View Registrants link.

- In addition to the registrant information, there will be three tabs available: Pending Approval, Approved, and Denied.
- Pending Approval: If you would like to approve users, check the box. Click the Approve button. If you would like to deny users, check the box. Click the Deny button.
- Approved: Here you can see any users with viewing rights.
- Denied: A list of users whose access to the recording has been denied by you.
