The zoom profile of the users gives a unique space to include personal meeting ID, updating the personal profile information, including the email id among other features. For your general information, some of your personal zoom account information is visible for other account users. Some of them are- your job designation, name, and your department.
Even some account changes are only applicable for the owners or the admins.
How to access the zoom profile?
Step 1. First, in the web portal, sign in.
Step 2. Then go to the navigation menu and tap profile.
In the profile section, you will be able to view your profile details. And you can edit those profile details also.
Updating the profile picture and information section.
- Changing or deleting the profile picture- In the profile section, tap on your profile picture, to change or update it. At the same time, you can adjust or crop the existing profile picture. For deleting the profile picture click on the delete option.
- Way to update the profile information. Tap on the edit option which is on the right side of the profile.
- Your first and last name.
- Display name. The display name is the name that comes up in your profile of the zoom platform. The display name appears in your zoom profile card, webinars, and meetings.
- The zoom pronouns. As profile information, you can also exclusively share the pronoun with others. The pronouns based on your preference will be shown in the meetings and webinars. However, you should have the zoom version of 5.7.0 or better than that to enjoy the feature.
- Your location.
- Title of the job.
Every time other users in the same meeting or webinar hover over your profile picture, they can view the display name, pronouns, job title, or more.
Phone. In the phone section of your personal information, you can at least add three phone numbers to the profile. Adding a phone number is simple. To add, select add phone number. If you are adding an external phone number then as per zoom instructions you have to verify the number before adding the number. Once added, the number will appear in the display section of your profile card to another zoom mobile app or zoom client. Only by clicking or tapping on your profile pic, users can know about your details.
Remember that in case you have a zoom phone direct number, then your direct number will be by default displayed by the zoom team on your profile card. And the users can easily view them. At that time you would not need to add the phone numbers separately to the zoom app.
Zoom phone: When you have a zoom phone license, then your direct phone numbers will be directly displayed ( in case you have an assigned extension or organization number).
Time zone. You can edit the time zone before applying it for the zoom mobile app or desktop client’s/ provisioned desk phones.
Date format. You can even format the date according to your region as per the edit option.
Language. Also, edit the default language of the zoom app or web portal.
Date and time. Choose the option edit to modify the date format or time zone and format.
You can use the settings in your zoom phone by using the zoom phone license. However, try to set the appropriate time zone because your recordings, history, business hours, etc are dependent on it.
Personal link. Setting a personal link is possible for a business or education account which needs a paid license. Also, to customize your personal link you can check the right side option called customize.
Host key. Tap the eye icon to see the host key. And click on edit for altering the host key.
License. This section is for displaying the kind of icons and adding one which has been assigned for you. To learn more you can tap on the question mark (?) An option that will help you in knowing each licensed feature. In case you possess a zoom phone license, then you can view the calling package. You can lap view the meeting capacity and particular webinar capacity in the section. To change any of this, you have to assign or purchase the license.
Account number. You will find account no. just below the name. You would need it when you call zoom support for assistance, so note it down. Based on this zoom assistance can locate your account faster.
Sign in section.
Sign in email. For changing the password or email id for signing in you have to tap on the right-side edit option. In case, your edit option is missing and wanted to know more about the feature, then go to learn more options.
