Managing provisioned SIP/H.323 rooms in zoom App
The new API Room Connector for SIP/H.323 devices will become available to new Cloud Room Connector license holders on January 18, 2021. For those provisioned with a Cloud Room Connector (CRC) license prior to January 18, 2021, please use our API Room Connector room management instructions.
As soon as a SIP/H.323 device has been configured as a managed room in Zoom, admins can manage its settings including device information, meeting settings, call control, as well as other configuration options.

How to use the Meeting tab
On the Meeting tab, you can customize meeting joining and meeting in-meeting behavior, including encryption, DTMF and call rate settings, shortcuts for joining 3rd-party meetings, and adding calendar resources.
How to use the SIP/H.323 Integration tab
On the SIP/H.323 Integration tab, configure SIP Call Control registration and H.323 Gatekeeper.
General SIP Call Control Registration options
Depending on the device being provisioned, SIP Call Control Registration options are available. SIP protocols will not be used by the endpoint if this setting is disabled. By default, however, all devices have access to the following options:
- This endpoint has been enabled for SIP, but it has not been registered directly to Zoom’s interop provisioning backend. Set up this setting first since it is most common. Using this mode, users will have to set up calendars to enable push-to-join meetings with one button.
- The Register to Zoom feature registers the device’s SIP protocol directly to the Zoom interop backend with one button push.
- No provisioning by Zoom- Allows API connector to not touch SIP lines. If the endpoint requires new settings, it will preserve the original settings.
- A third party can be registered with a SIP line, preserving the device’s original settings for the SIP line. Usually used for PBX dialing applications using the SIP protocol. This will be the third-party’s SIP line 1 registered to the PBX.
Additional SIP Call Control options for Polycom Trio
- Zoom Rooms- When this setting is selected, the device becomes a Zoom Rooms controller instead of a standalone SIP call device.
- In this mode, the device is only a USB audio device.
- Dual Register, 3rd Party and Zoom- The Trio can be configured so that SIP line 1 is registered to the SIP provider of your choice, and SIP line 2 is registered to the Zoom interop servers. This allows meeting ID dialing on the Zoom line and to keep the mainline one SIP provider dialing from the endpoint prior to provisioning the Trio with Zoom interop.
- Register to 3rd Party and call Zoom on-demand – This mode is similar to Dual Register mode, except that line 2 for Zoom is not registered. On the Trio, the first SIP line is still registered to the 3rd party service, and the second SIP line is set to not register and to dial on-demand to Zoom. This means a dial string is built to dial out SIP TLS via the meeting ID to vip2.zoomcrc.com.
H.323 Gatekeeper
H.323 is disabled by default for endpoints provisioned using the API connector. To disable SIP Call control, however, the H.323 Gatekeeper must be enabled.
- The H.323 protocol is enabled on the endpoint, but it is not registered with Zoom interop servers. There are no gatekeeper settings for H.323 on the API connector.
- This option appears if the device model doesn’t support the option
- Provided by API connector – The API connector provisions the provided settings into the H.323 gatekeeper settings on the endpoint. Providing specific gatekeeper information, E164 addresses, etc., is common with this.By enabling this field, additional fields will be made available.
How to use the Advanced tab
The Advanced tab allows you to configure a specific Room Connector, as well as enter any advanced provisioning parameters accepted by the device.
